Ia berlaku ekoran pembangkang terus menerus mendesak supaya Olmert meletak jawatan berikutan laporan Finograd mengenai peperangan Lubnan baru-baru ini telah dikeluarkan.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nSeramai 61 ahli Knesset telah mengundi daripada sejumlah 120 orang. Pembangkang tidak berjaya melainkan 26 daripada 28 undi menyokong memorandum tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Memorandum tidak percaya itu dikemukakan oleh Parti Likud (pembangkang berhaluan kanan), Kesatuan Kebangsaan &#8211; Parti Kebangsaan Agama (berhaluan kanan dan agresif) serta Parti Merits (berhaluan kiri secular).<\/p>\n<p>Bekas perdana menteri berhaluan kanan yang merangkap ketua Parti Likud, Benyamin Netanyahu berkata di parlimen, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153angin bertiup dari segenap arah negara\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6rakyat berkata kepada kamu dengan mudah, kamu gagal.
