\nSelasa, 14\/08\/07 –<\/b> Dr. Shalah Bardawil, wakil parlimen Palestin menegaskan, arahan presiden Mahmod Abbas berkenaan perwakilan parlimen Palestin bertujuan mengalahkan gerakan Hamas dengan cara melanggar undang-undang.

\nBardawil menegaskan Isnin lepas (13\/08) kepada wartawan bahawa pihak Abbas tidak akan mampu mengalahkan Hamas melalui rancangan Dayton dengan melanggar beberapa undang-undang untuk menghapuskan kewujudan Hamas di parlimen Palestin. Beliau menambah, pihak Abbas telah berusaha memburuk-burukkan Hamas kepada rakyat Palestin, namun usaha tersebut tidak berjaya. <\/p>\n

Sebaliknya nama Hamas akan tetap bersinar dalam pilihan raya umum Palestin. Justru Abbas melalui strategi politik yang diambil akan mengukuhkan dirinya sebagai diktator meski beliau tidak memiliki hak kekuasaan dalam pilihan raya. <\/p>\n

Bardawil menegaskan, Abbas mengirim surat kepada Amerika yang mengatakan bahawa beliau akan menghapuskan Hamas dalam tempoh yang pendek. Ini kerana, menurut Bardawil, tempoh akhir Abbas adalah hujung musim dingin akan datang dimana semua impiannya akan berkecai setelah persidangan Amerika-Israel. Abbas akan mendapati bahawa beliau tidak memiliki apa-apa dan telah melakukan taruhan dengan rakyat Palestin.
