Isnin , 16\/02\/2009 – <\/strong>Aktivitis Scotland , Teresa McDermott yang dikatakan hilang selepas menaiki kapal dari Lubnan yang membawa misi bantuan kemanusiaan ke Gaza terjawab apabila kerajaan haram Israel yang ‘menghilangkan’ beliau dan ditahan di Penjara Ramleh Israel.<\/p>\n

Awal Februari kapal yang membawa bantuan kemanusiaan ke Gaza telah dihalang dan dibawa ke Pelabuhan Ashdod, Israel. Kesemua penumpang\/aktivitis dibebaskan kecuali Teresa dan Israel telah berbohong dengan mengatakan Teresa telah dihantar pulang ke London sehinggalah beliau dapat menghubungi abangnya John di Scotland.<\/p>\n

Tiada maklumat diberikan kenapa beliau ditahan, apa tuduhan, dan kenapa penahanannya disembunyikan. Bila ditanya pihak Kedutaan UK di Israel kenapa tidak mencari Teresa, mereka berkata mereka tidak dapat berbuat demikian sehingga menerima laporan dari beliau sendiri.<\/p>\n

MP Scotland, Pauline McNeil dan Hugh O’Donnell yang sepatutnya bersama-sama di dalam kapal tersebut akan berkerjasama dengan kerajaan UK dan memastikan keselamatan Teresa dijamin. Menurut wartawan AlJazeera, Salam Khodr, kesemua penumpang telah dipukul dan dibelasah sebelum dikeluarkan dari kapal tersebut.<\/p>\n

Teresa berjaya ke Gaza pada misi bantuan pertama dengan bot Bebaskan Gaza dan kembali pada bulan Ogos dan misi bantuan kedua ini telah dihalang oleh Israel. Beliau merupakan akitivis terkenal dengan International Solidarity Movement dan juga Free Gaza. Di Scotland beliau bekerja di pejabat pos.<\/p>\n
