Isnin , 23-06-2014 – Kementerian Tahanan dan Bekas Tahanan menyatakan kebimbangan mengenai taraf kesihatan peserta mogok lapar Palestin yang semakin merudum terutamanya bagi Muayed Sharab. Walaupun Sharab telah didiagnosis dengan penyakit kardiovaskular, penggumpalan darah, kehilangan berat badan dan pendarahan gastrousus, pihak pentadbiran penjara Israel masih tidak mengendahkan situasi yang berlaku, tambah kementerian itu dalam satu kenyataan akhbar pada Selasa lalu.
Kementerian itu telah meminta Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah dan Pertubuhan Kesihatan Dunia , bersama- sama dengan institusi kebajikan yang lain, untuk campur tangan dalam isu ini dan melawat tahanan yang berada di pusat perubatan Barzilai.
