Khamis, 17-05-2018 – 55 orang Palestin telah dibunuh oleh tentera Israel dan lebih daripada 2,700 yang lain cedera di sempadan timur Jalur Gaza semasa demonstrasi pada hari Isnin. Tujuh orang penduduk Palestin terbunuh adalah kanak-kanak bawah umur 18 tahun, termasuk seorang gadis. Sekurang-kurangnya 203 orang cedera adalah kanak-kanak dan 79 wanita.
Menurut laporan, 918 rakyat Palestin cedera dengan peluru hidup, 746 kes gas pemedih mata, 98 kecederaan akibar terkena serpihan, dan lima cedera terkena peluru getah. Dua jurumedik dan empat pasukan keselamatan juga termasuk para syuhada, manakala empat medik dan 12 wartawan cedera.
Berpuluh ribu warga Palestina berkumpul di perbatasan Gaza sejak pagi menyeru demonstrasi untuk membantah pembukaan kedutaan Amerika di BaitulMaqdis dan sebagai menyambut ulang tahun ke-70 Nakba Palestin.
