Khamis, 24-05-2018 – Mahkamah Tinggi Israel pada hari Isnin melanjutkan tempoh penahanan Sheikh Raed Salah, ketua Cawangan Utara Gerakan Islam di Israel, hingga 30 Mei. “Mahkamah Tinggi mempertimbangkan permintaan Peguam Negara Israel untuk melanjutkan penahanan Sheikh Salah untuk tiga bulan lagi,” kata peguam Khaled Zabarqa, Salah.
“Kami mengemukakan permintaan kepada mahkamah minggu lalu untuk menimbang semula penahanan Sheikh Salah selepas mengambil keterangannya – yang mana dakwaan dan pengakuan beliau disalah ertikan,” tambah Zabarqa. Menurut peguam lagi, hakim Mahkamah Tinggi hari ini melaporkan bahawa Sheikh Salah akan tetap berada di penjara sehingga pengadilan menimbang kembali penahanannya pada 30 Mei.
